Bastogne Walnut Live Edge Resin Console Table | Resin Desk | Modern Square Steel

This Live Edge Coffee Resin Console Table/ Desk is handmade using Live Edge Bastogne Walnut for the top with a smoke Ecopoxy resin to keep edges square and make a nice mix of modern and rustic styles. The steel base is 3/4" square steel powder coated matte black.

PROCESS //
 
These pieces undergo a 4 layer satin hardwax finish (OSMO Polyx) this helps protect from any spills or stains or sun fade and will keep the overall beauty of the wood.
 
Dimensions on table shown are 58"Lx17"Wx30.5"T.
 
I use epoxy to fill voids and cracks to prevent cracks from growing and to stabilize the wood. The resin I use is Ecopoxy FlowCast, this is an all natural non toxic product made in Canada using soybeans. It will not distort with ages a tough water resistant finish.
 
Top is made from 2 beautiful slabs of amazing Bastogne Walnut with tons of curl and figure.
 
Base is made of 3/4" square steel welded and ground down smooth, finished with a durable powder coated matte black finish.
 
All Slabs are Kiln or air dried to single digit moisture levels to create long lasting quality slabs of the finest hardwoods. Hardwoods are locally sourced.
