Maple Burl Live Edge Resin Coffee Table | Steel Base | Modern

This Live Edge Coffee Table is handmade using Maple Burl for the top with a black Ecopoxy resin. The steel base is a modern thin steel custom base finished with a matte black powder coat. (This exact piece has sold!)

PROCESS //
 
These pieces undergo a 4 layer satin hardwax finish (OSMO Polyx) this helps protect from any spills or stains or sun fade and will keep the overall beauty of the wood. 
 
Dimensions on this table are 33"Lx28"Wx18"T.
 
I use epoxy to fill voids and cracks to prevent cracks from growing and to stabilize the wood. The resin I use is Ecopoxy Liquid Plastic, this is an all natural non toxic product made in Canada using soybeans. It will not distort with ages a tough water resistant finish.
 
Top is made from 2 pieces of amazing Canadian Maple Burl with tons of curling and figure.
 
Base is made from steel that has been welded and then powder coated matte black for a durable finish.
 
All Slabs are Kiln or air dried to single digit moisture levels to create long lasting quality slabs of the finest hardwoods. Hardwoods are locally sourced.
