Black Walnut Live Edge Resin Coffee Table | Waterfall Series | Steel Base |

This Live Edge Coffee Table is handmade using Live Edge Black Walnut for the top with a black Ecopoxy resin to keep edges square and make a nice mix of modern and rustic styles. The steel base is 1/4" flat steel powder coated matte black.

PROCESS //
 
These pieces undergo a 4 layer satin hardwax finish (OSMO Polyx) this helps protect from any spills or stains or sun fade and will keep the overall beauty of the wood. 
 
Dimensions on this table are 44"Lx22.5"Wx18"T.
 
I use epoxy to fill voids and cracks to prevent cracks from growing and to stabilize the wood. The resin I use is Ecopoxy Liquid Plastic, this is an all natural non toxic product made in Canada using soybeans. It will not distort with ages a tough water resistant finish.
 
Top is made from 1 sold slab of amazing Oregon Black Walnut with tons of curling and figure which waterfalls down one side.
 
Base is a seamless piece of 1/4" flat steel that has been bent to create a wrap around profile surrounded by wood, powder coated matte black for a durable finish with matte black leg levellers.
 
All Slabs are Kiln or air dried to single digit moisture levels to create long lasting quality slabs of the finest hardwoods. Hardwoods are locally sourced.
